Still trying to decide what outfit to slap her with (The old leather one, the current armor I transmog my shit into (Which I’d link if I had actually logged out in game), or her purple goblin thug one ), but at least I got the base
Added a bit more muscle and her scars so that way I wouldn’t have to do them later depending on the armor
Wooooo nekkid
Tagging it NSFW cause she does technically have no clothes at this point and could probably get someone in class or at work in trouble… so wooo
Kal’s hog/chopper has no faction markings on it
It also has no side mirrors because she does not like mirrors
And yes the foot is weird because I’m lazy and just said did boot-foot
THANK THE LORD JESUS.

So I’d upload the other animation stuff I did for 2d animation, but they’re on my other flashdrive, which I don’t have :/ Bah
So here, have a crappy dancing silhouette I made of this
Legs turned out a bit better than the arms. Should have messed with it to change a frame for the arm between the first and last one so it doesn’t just jump from up to down. Ah well
someone needs to make a “this” gif for this now.
bless these animators omg

One of the biggest challenges a beginning painter will face is learning to paint flesh tones. The skin is highly complex, made up of varying colors and textures; if you get one thing wrong, you could end up with some pretty scary results.
Here’s a few simple tips to help you conquer this problem.

Hey there! I have no whitewashing to point out, but I’ve noticed that a lot of people commenting on this blog think colouring/picking the right colours for lighting and shading dark/non-white skin tones is hard. I think this skin chart by navate would be quite useful for everyone who has a hard time picking the right skin colours! Combined with this tutorial by the same artist it should give people a good idea of how to apply shading and lighting to the different skin tones.
Practice makes perfect, everyone! Good luck c:
Soooo I submitted this to the damnlayoffthebleach blog (I’m glad so many people find it useful, by the way!) and I’ll just reblog it to my own blog as well because this skin chart was basically my holy bible when I started drawing more non-white characters. Super useful!

Stages of Deterioration in the Human Body
The Moment Of Death:
1. The heart stops.
2. The skin gets tight and ashen in color.
3. All the muscles relax.
4. The bladder and bowels empty.
5. The body temperature begins to drop 1 1/2 degrees Fahrenheit per hour.
After 30 minutes:
6. The skin gets purple and waxy.
7. The lips, fingernails, and toenails fade to a pale color.
8. Blood pools at the bottom of the body.
9. The hands and feet turn blue.
10. The eyes sink into the skull.
After 4 hours:
11. Rigor mortis has set in.
12. The purpling of the skin and the pooling of the blood continue.
13. Rigor continues to tighten muscles for another 24 hours or so.
After 12 hours:
14. The body is in full rigor mortis.
After 24 hours:
15. The body is now the temperature of the surrounding environment.
16. In males, the semen dies.
17. The head and neck are now a greenish-blue color.
18. The greenish-blue color spreads to the rest of the body.
19. There is a pervasive smell of rotting meat.
After 3 days:
20. The gas in the body tissues forms large blisters on the skin.
21. The whole body begins to bloat and swell grotesquely.
22. Fluids leak from the mouth, nose, vagina, and rectum.
After 3 weeks:
23. The skin, hair, and nails are so loose they can easily be pulled off the corpse.
24. The skin bursts open on many places on the body.
25. Decomposition will continue until the body is nothing but skeletal remains, a process that can take a month or so in hot climates, and two months or more in cold climates. For future writing reference.
Ditto.

i thought this would have thousands of notes. Wow!Everyone needs to take a minute and thirty seconds out of their day to see this. This is by a friend of mine named Chris De Pew. This is his junior animation thesis he worked REAL HARD ON. He even produced the song, which is the best. This is the best, I can’t say more.
This is so trippy. dopeeeee

“A three second exposure meant that subjects had to stand very still to avoid being blurred, and holding a smile for that period was tricky. As a result, we have a tendency to see our Victorian ancestors as even more formal and stern than they might have been.”

I just went back through over 900 liked posts and dug out all the art tutorials so i can keep track of them. I guess this might be helpful to some of you guys, so here you go.
Here we go then!
Freeware
Alchemy - this is a really fun program. You play around making abstract shapes until you start to see something in them, kind of like a Rorschach test. Then you use the shapes as a base to draw it from.
MyPaint - a pretty decent painting program that also has the benefit of working on Unix systems.
openCanvas 1.1 - I haven’t used openCanvas in years but it was a nice program with a pretty unique feel to it.
ArtRage - Only used this a couple of times donkey’s years ago just before I got oC, but I’ve heard good things about it.
The GIMP - In a similar vein to Photoshop, but free. I couldn’t get on with it when I tried it out a few years ago, but it’s pretty popular and is available on Unix systems and Macs.Sketchbook copic: a bit different program
Not-free-ware
Photoshop - Standard painting fare. Probably the most flexible program (particularly the latest versions) but not designed to act in a “natural” way. If you’ve used it for painting versus something like Painter you know what I mean. Who the fuck pays for it though? Google “Photoshop tumblr masterpost” and take your pick.
Paint Tool Sai - Far more affordable and definitely worth paying for if you can. The brushes are very decent (especially when they’ve been tweaked a little), the gui is simple and intuitive, and I dare you to find a program with which making smooth lineart is easier.
Corel Painter - My program of choice for most things. More tools than you could ever possibly use and pretty cheap on a student license, providing that you can prove you’re a student! It’s got a few bugs but if you want realism or a more natural feel than PS or SAI this is the program for you.Anatomy

Reblogging for my own ref, AWWW YEEAAAH
Woohoooo! openCanvas should be on here too though, for Windows users. OpenCanvas is super awesome and lightweight
I have Sai and love it. It’s what I use most to draw/paint digitally. Awesome easy program. I also have Sketchbook Pro on my phone and it’s great! (though a bit limited if you don’t have a stylus which I need to buy XD)
Totally downloaded the Copic version of SBP and am really thinking of spending the 60$ to get the full program. I think it’s very worth it and pretty affordable considering some of these programs can easily be in the hundreds.
